I have been in the R/C yacht scene now for over 10 years sailing Marbleheads. The designs have been mainly from New Zealand. Designers such as Bill Jury “Vivid”, Geoff Smale “ Kiwi Edition”, and Geoff Smale/Tony Oudshoorn (modified Kiwi Edition ) “Ignite”. My current boat sailing at present is a “Vibe”. This is an Australian design. My new boat project is a Martin Firebrace 08 RM design, which the hull has been moulded out of PRE-PREG CARBON FIBRE.

I race with North Shore Radio Yacht Squadron at Smale's Quarry in Takapuna on a Sunday morning. Visitors welcome. It is competitive but fun. Give it a try!!!!
